Full Name: Aris Sheldon Paracuelles
DOB: March 26
Hometown: Cebu, Philippines
Favorite Move: Anything that involves spinning on your head / hands upside down
Favorite Song: Dancers like all types of songs, so I don’t really have anything specific
Favorite Dance Style: The type that has no rules or specific technique, aka freestyle
Favorite Hair Product / Tool: Since I have really nappy hair, I obviously have to straighten it w/ a straightening iron (no shame there). Joico products such as ICE spiker & blast, or Arimino freeze wax
Inspiration: Bboy Ronnie Ruen (Killafornia/Style elements) & Rino Razalan (Harajuku Girls & Beatfreakz)
About me: “I have too much confidence for nothing. I can do pretty much any dance style you throw at me. I can fix your computer if you want. I like staying up all night doing nothing (beating the other Quest guys on video games). I have naturally hairless legs (don’t be jealous). I have a nice big forehead. I really love watching “Family Guy.” I’m a massage therapist and a pharmacy technician.”

About Aris

Aris Paracuelles began his dance career in high school. For two years, Aris danced with the award winning breakdance bboy crew “Sickstep” competing in various competitions (Vibe 11, Maxt Out, Sportsfest, and Kollaboration to name a few). He is inspired by Bboy Ronnie Ruen and Rino Razalan and favors freestyle over specific dance techniques.

In 2006, Aris helped form “Quest Crew” while continuing to expand his repertoire of dance at the Millenium Dance Complex. While he did not get the opportunity to compete with Quest on America’s Best Dance Crew due to a team member limit, Aris does get the chance to perform with his crew during the tour across the U.S. He also holds dance workshops at Quest Dance Studio, at the Quest Learning Center.

Not only does Aris dance, but he is also certified in CPR / First Aid and massage therapy.

Aris dedicates his free time to working with youth at Quest Learning Center in the hopes of exposing younger generations to hip hop and breakdancing, doing his part for the community not only by educating, but also by being a positive role model.
